Poached egg drop curry/muttai kulambu


I have learnt this yummy recipe from my mom.She usually make along with ghee rice.It is very simple and delish side dish which fits so well with steamed rice,ghee rice or chapati.Gonna share indian style poached egg drop curry right below.Try this once and enjoy

Ingredients:
egg - 4
shallots - 4 (sliced)
tomato - 1 (sliced)
ginger - 1 inch
garlic - 2 pods
green chilly - 1 (chopped)
coconut-1/2 cup
fennel seed - 1 tbsp
whole pepper - 1 tbsp
cashew nut - 4 pcs
kulambu powder(mix of chilly and coriander powder) - 1 tbsp
garam masala - 1/2 tsp(optional)
whole spices
salt and oil required


Instruction:
Cut and wash onion,tomato and green chilly



Take a blender add coconut,cashew nut,fennel seed,whole pepper and some water.blend them as a fine paste



Take blender add ginger and garlic blend them as a fine paste and keep it aside


Now take a pan add some oil,once oil heats add whole spices and fennel seeds


Add onion,saute well until it become translucent,and then add green chilly and ginger garlic paste Saute well until the raw smell go




Add tomatos saute well cook well until it get mashy


Now add salt,kulambu powder and garam masala powder saute well for 2 mins



And then add the ground coconut paste and add cup of water,mix well and now the lid let it cook for 10 mins



After 10 mins crack the egg in the bowl and drop into curry one by one.Close the lid let it cook for another 10 mins in a medium flame



Finally add some chopped coriander leaves


Poached egg drop curry is ready to serve
